September 26, 2020 Friend, Since we last checked in, we announced a new partnership with the National Audubon Society. This comes just in time to raise awareness about the devastating impact light pollution has on migratory birds during fall migration. On top of that exciting news, we have announced the designation of five new International Dark Sky Places: Davagh Forest Park, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Timpanogos Cave National Monument, Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute, and the Slumgullion Center. This is such an incredible accomplishment in the battle to preserve the night. Additionally, we are featuring the work of IDA Delegate Vitor Barbato Honorato in Brazil. Sincerely, |
